Cecilia M. McCormick J.D. is president of Elizabethtown College. McCormick is a proud first-generation college and law school graduate, serves as the institution’s first female president.

A recognized dynamic leader and change agent for higher education, she has been working to improve the lives of students for over 30 years. In just her first year at Etown, McCormick has transformed Elizabethtown College’s enrollment marketing strategy and enhanced the institution’s brand identity, opened the Bowers Center for Sports, Fitness & Well-Being facility, created strategic initiatives toward developing long-term financial stability and academic program reprioritization, began updating the School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) to offer more relevant and flexible curricula including the launching of five-year Physician Assistant and RN to BSN programs.

In her second year, the institution raised $74.5 million through the College’s Be More Inspired campaign, surpassing its increased goal of $60 million. Additionally, the College raised $18 million and received a $7.5 million gift, the second-largest in the College’s history.

Dedicated to making service a key component of her life, McCormick’s servant leadership has led to the creation of various educational programs for underrepresented students, a focus on homelessness and hunger in the Philadelphia region, and most recently, the launching of Elizabethtown College’s Blue Jay pantry, a space on campus equipped with free non-perishable food items to ensure all college students have regular access to nutrition.

An advocate for women in leadership, McCormick currently serves as the sponsoring president of the PA ACE Women’s Network, a national system of networks within each state, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia with the goal of advancing and supporting women in higher education. She is also an active member of the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce.

McCormick is an Associate Professor for Business and Law and has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and is an avid promoter for social justice in higher education similar to her background in law. Her career spans over five institutions in higher education including Villanova University, Widener University, Johns Hopkins University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Elizabethtown College. She also maintains her license to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania.

McCormick resides in Elizabethtown with her husband, John. She is the proud mother of three sons, Timothy, Daniel, and John as well as a grandmother of three, Archer and June, and Teddy Grace.

Betsy Hamm

Duck Donuts CEO

Betsy Hamm, MBA, oversees the overall direction of the organization and leads the development of the company’s long- and short-term goals and strategic initiatives. She is committed to building and protecting the 100+ unit growing franchise brand by generating awareness and driving revenue. She works alongside her team to identify and provide the necessary tools and resources to ensure franchisees achieve ultimate profitability and success. In her previous role as chief operating officer, she oversaw operations, marketing and business development, focusing on product development and daily operations. Prior to being named chief operation officer, she served as the marketing director.

Betsy joined Duck Donuts with 15 years’ experience as the marketing director for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, a world-class entertainment and hospitality company that owns and operates many of the sweet attractions, resorts, and entertainment venues across Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Betsy serves on the Board of Directors for The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region and Living Well Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Master of Business Administration from Shippensburg University.

Bob Wahlen

President & CEO, HB Global LLC

Bob Whalen is the President and CEO of HB Global, LLC. Headquartered in Harrisburg, PA. HB Global was established in 2017, stemming from the 100+ year-old HB McClure Company. Bob purchased HB McClure in 2008, serving as the first non-family CEO. He started pursuing a long-term acquisition growth strategy and three years later he convinced the board of directors to allow him to sell the company to the employees. HB Global is now the ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) holding company that provides direction and support for eight leading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contracting companies in the United States that operate in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Arizona, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Bob’s personal mission is to change lives through employee ownership, which empowers employees and gives them a stake in the wealth that is created by the entire team through organic growth and acquisitions. Bob earned his BS in Agricultural Economics and MBA from Cornell University, and holds an MS in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. Bob is married to his high-school sweetheart, Mandy, and they have four adult children.
